14 Sep Newport (Boat Show), here we come!
This coming week will involve three of the things we love most: Newport, boats and boat shows! We’re super excited for our Newport International Boat Show debut. The show runs Thursday September 17 through Sunday September 20, 10-6 each day (except Sunday, when the show closes at 5pm). There will be a lots to see and do, including a full schedule of 32 free educational seminars with great content like “Women and Crusing”, taught by the very knowledgeable Pam Wall (one of eight seminars Pam is teaching!), “Safety at Sea”, “Outfitting Your Boat”, and many more topics.
There’s also a great opportunity to meet U.S. Sailing Team members Annie Haeger and Brianna Provancha. They just won gold at the Rio test event (check out the article here) and are gunning for a spot on the Olympic team. They’ll be at the US Sailing booth, A40, on Friday September 18 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Coincidentally, that’s right around the corner from the 12° West booth in A47, so come by and say hi!
There will also be some fun on hand – the famous (infamous?) Cruisers Party, hosted by Cruising Outpost, will be on Saturday, September 19 from 6:00 – 8:30 in the Sunset Lounge. Free beer, a view of the harbor, the company of sailors, and music from the Triad Island Band – a good time is sure to be had by all.
Oh, and did we mention boats??? See you at the Newport Boat Show!
